 صندلی خلبان یکی از مهم‌ترین اجزای کابین پروازی هواپیما به شمار می‌رود که نقش مستقیم و حیاتی در ایمنی پرواز، کنترل صحیح هواپیما و حفظ تمرکز خلبان ایفا می‌کند. صندلی باید در تمامی شرایط پروازی، از جمله تیک‌آف، کروز و لندینگ، عملکردی ایمن، پایدار و ارگونومیک داشته باشد؛ چرا که هرگونه نقص در آن می‌تواند به‌طور مستقیم بر عملکرد خلبان و در نتیجه بر ایمنی مسافران تأثیرگذار باشد.

 با توجه به این اهمیت، مطابق با دستورالعمل‌ها و استانداردهای فنی هوانوردی، انجام چک‌های دوره‌ای، تعمیرات و اورهال صندلی خلبان به‌صورت اجباری در برنامه‌های نگهداری هواپیما قرار دارد. این چک‌ها شامل بررسی سازه‌ای، مکانیزم‌های حرکتی، سیستم‌های قفل‌کننده، تنظیمات ارتفاع و زاویه، ریل‌ها، کمربند ایمنی و سایر اجزای حیاتی صندلی می‌شود.

 در همین راستا، شرکت ایرسا برای نخستین بار در ایران موفق شده است خدمات تخصصی تعمیر و اورهال صندلی خلبان هواپیما را به‌صورت کامل و داخلی ارائه دهد. این اقدام گامی مهم در جهت خودکفایی صنعت هوانوردی کشور و کاهش وابستگی به مراکز تعمیراتی خارج از کشور محسوب می‌شود.
